Our accessibility goal
We aim for the public BrightPath website to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a working target, not a claim that every page has completed an independent conformance audit.
What the site supports
- Keyboard access to navigation and links
- A skip link that moves directly to the main content
- Visible focus states and descriptive page titles
- Semantic headings, lists, landmarks, and link labels
- Responsive reflow for narrow screens and text resizing
- Reduced motion when the device requests it
- Text alternatives or hidden treatment for decorative images
Known limitations
The product preview contains small interface labels that may be difficult to read at high zoom. The surrounding page repeats the important meaning in ordinary text. Some product and policy material will continue to change while BrightPath is in development, and a newly published section may briefly need follow-up testing.
How we check the site
We test current versions of major browsers at desktop and mobile widths, use keyboard-only interaction checks, review heading and landmark structure, inspect colour contrast, and test reduced-motion behaviour. Automated checks help find common issues, but they do not replace manual review or feedback from people using assistive technology.
Report a barrier
Email contact@pathwaytohope.ca or call 1-888-861-8830. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, the browser or assistive technology you used, and the format that would work better. Do not include patient information.
Alternate formats
If website information is not usable in its current format, ask for an alternate format. We will work with you to understand the request and provide the information in a practical accessible form.
Ontario requirements
Pathway to Hope operates in Ontario. Ontario’s website accessibility rules reference WCAG 2.0 Level AA for organizations within their scope. Our design target uses the newer WCAG 2.2 Level AA recommendations so the work is not limited to the older baseline.
